Wizard Digital
SCOPE:
Wizard Digital recently built a multilingual website using WordPress, Elementor Pro, and Weglot. The primary website was in English, and the four language sites (Spanish, French, German, and Simplified Chinese) were built in Weglot.
Seth and Luke were looking to rebuild the four language variations of a live website using WordPress MultiLingual.
There were 54 Pages, 28 Posts, and 106 pages within the Resources / Knowledge Center section.
SOLUTION:
We published pages and posts in English without automatically publishing translated versions to the live site.
We updated the SEO Title, Meta Description, and Meta Keywords for pages and posts in each language.
We updated the website in English so that it would not automatically overwrite content that has already been manually updated and published in other languages.
This was a tricky project due to complexities with the existing website and some issues that occurred that we had to fix or workaround with our client, an agency in the USA. It helped that we’ve been a long-time partner with WPML and we’re experienced in dealing with challenges like this. We first completed a proof of concept for our client to show how our development would meet their needs. Once that was signed off, we moved forward with the main project. From our perspective, Seth and Mateen were been great to work with. They were fast to respond to questions and we've all worked together well as an extended team.
